End of Year update
Many people have made comments on this blog. I have not updated it in over a year or ever written regularly so this is surprising.
I have cut down on my poker play but overall my results were very good for 2008 mostly in the cash games where I outdid 2006 and 2007 by quite a lot in the middle stakes and even more in very few hands in the high stakes games. My results online in MTTs were not as good but I put in very little volume. In live tournaments I did well with wins in a few trips including in the Australia $5k Heads up championship. I had my best year ever taking the year off.
I turned 21 at the end of November but I am in college so I am not playing much live poker until next summer’s WSOP
In non poker related endeavors I have made very good health progress since WPT Niagara. I was surprised to read this blog that I weighted 218 pounds and looked pretty bad less than a year and a half ago. Well I started lifting weights casually and then very seriously into early 2008 and I think I have above average results and genetics in this. I am lifting with a general strength focus very seriously and train with some good people here in MA. I plan to enter official competitions in powerlifting and get a coach in Olympic weightlifting next year.
I don’t know what people are looking for from this blog but maybe I will write some more entries so let me know if there is interest in anything.
I am off to enjoy New Years festivities as I’m sure many others are as I write this.
Have a happy New Year.
Jeff
